Our core classes for all abilities. Each class is structured to cover a variety of techniques and subject matter to draw and paint over each term.
Very popular classes with a professional model each week. Short and long poses each session, max. 8 students and plenty of individual support
For all students including those who have little or no experience with oil paints. A step by step approach is taken to explore the medium.
For all students, including those who have little or no experience with pastels. A step by step approach is taken to explore the medium.
Imaginative explorations of line, rhythm, tone, composition and perspective drawing. Sessions will blur the boundaries using drawings for collage compositions, simple printing techniques and more.
We will learn about: basic watercolour techniques; washes, layering and glazing. We will explore colour mixing, use different types of brush shapes to create different lines , shapes and textures.
An interest in the subject and some previous experience is recommended to join this informal group who meet weekly to work independently (no tutor).
New for 2025 is an introduction to comic illustration and sequential image making. We are offering this as a 3 day workshop for students to develop their own unique style of comic making as a foundation skill.
New for 2025 - an introductory 2 day course in Digital Art using iPad and Procreate software, covering basic skills and how these may be used in art and design, and also printing, animation and modelling
